Anti-Trump Protesters Chant In Front Of Trump Tower

Donald Trump's election as the 45th president of the United States sparked protests across the country despite calls for unity from rival Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.

Trump lost the popular vote but won the Electoral College count in defeating Clinton in a hard-fought campaign that bitterly divided voters. Neither candidate won any popularity contests in polls taken before the election, with voters disappointed in both candidates.

In his acceptance speech, Trump pledged to be the president of all Americans. Demonstrators weren't buying it.
